We were commissioned to design a new, wide and shallow home for a developer. The goal was a 1500sq.ft. bungalow with serious presence and wow factor. We pulled heavily from Scandinavian design principles, with a overarching reminder of North American lifestyles. The home is entered via a raised foyer, with access to the master suite and half bath to one side, a spectacular view directly in front of you, and access down a couple steps into the public living spaces to the other side. The home was designed in such a way that a partial 2nd floor could be easily added, including a rooftop patio.
